MIND: a platform for chemical environmental risk assessment

MIND is a proposed platform for chemical environmental risk assessment that connects people, practices, and resources across disciplines and regulatory domains.

Multiple scientific initiatives aim to modernise chemical environmental risk assessment (ERA). But translating these initiatives into regulatory practice remains challenging. To address this, the European Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals (PARC) proposes the development of a MIND (Map, Integrate, Network, Drive).

The development of the MIND platform will be actively pursued within PARC in collaboration with European Environment agencies such as TerraChem partner UBA (German Environment Agency). With MIND, environmental risk assessment approaches can be taken up faster in regulatory practice and help the safeguarding of biodiversity.
