Welcome
Welcome to TerraChem, a three year project (2023-2026), working to understand chemical pollution in terrestrial wildlife in Europe.
We bring together real-world monitoring, modelling of chemicals, source-to-damage pathways, applications for chemicals risk prevention and mitigation, and big data management for early warning of emerging chemical risks.
Together, this offers a new systems approach to reduce harm to wildlife (and humans) from chemicals in the terrestrial environment in Europe, in support of the EU zero pollution ambition.
Latest news
On Wednesday 23 September the TerraChem team will host an online seminar organised by the European European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
A landscape-based Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA) framework, proposed by the European partnership for the assessment of risks from chemicals (PARC) offers more realistic predictions for the effects of pesticides.
